The Sage Group was formed in 1990. Since its inception, the corporation has valued over $1,000,000,000 in assets. Collectively, the appraisers at the firm have over 30 years of experience. The firm provides valuation of commercial real estate, equipment and closely held business.

We have performed valuations in 42 states on a variety of property types to include: childcare facilities, assisted living facilities, regional shopping malls, shopping centers, office buildings, distribution centers, car washes, manufacturing facilities, apartment complexes, self-storage, service station, convenience store, and major land developments.

APPRAISAL QUALIFICATIONS At minimum, all states require appraisers to be state licensed or certified in order to provide appraisals to federally regulated lenders.

Appraisers who become designated members of the Appraisal Institute and American Society of Appraisers have gone beyond these minimum requirements by fulfilling rigorous educational and experience requirements, and must adhere to strict standards and a code of professional ethics.

The Appraisal Institute currently confers the MAI membership designation on those who are experienced in the valuation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties.

The American Society of Appraisers offers multiple disciplines in Real Estate, Equipment and Business Valuation. An appraiser who has earned the ASA membership designation has met an extensive array of testing, coursework and experience.

The Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers offers a Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA) designation to those appraisers that have demonstrated extensive knowledge, experience and training in the appraisal of equipment.
